Accountant

Lanka Special Steels Limited which is a fully owned subsidiary of E.B. Creasy & Co. PLC, is the market leader in hot dipped galvanized wires in Sri Lanka. We are on the lookout for suitably qualified, energetic, and young individuals for immediate employment at our Head Office in Colombo 07.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Liaise & negotiate with banks independently
• Preparation of monthly VAT liability reports and product wise cost reports.
• Supplier payment verification in ERP (SAP) system.
• Preparation of MIS reports.

Requirements

• He/she must have a university degree in Finance from a recognized university.
• He/she must have at least part qualification from a professional accounting body such as CA, CIMA, ACCA. (CA final level is preferred)
• Should have a minimum of 5 years working experience.
• Excellent command of MS Excel along with working experience in SAP ERP system will be an definite advantage.
• Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
• Flexibility in working long hours as and when required in order to achieve deadlines.
• Should be a good team player and have excellent communication skills.
• Age between 30-40.
