Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all transactions are entered by the company complying with Tax and regulatory provisions available in Sri Lanka
- Preparation of Tax reconciliation
- Process company VAT refunds and Deferment Credit Vouchers
- Liaise with External Auditors concerning all Tax matters
- Handling all SVAT-related matters of the company
- Handling all TAX matters and ensuring that all VAT liabilities are accounted payments are made and returns are filed on or before the due date through the RAMIS system
- Liaise with officers of the Inland Revenue Department and the Tax Appeal Commission and appear on behalf of the company appeal hearing, submission and settlements
- Lodging Tax appeals or objections and follow-up on these with Tax Authorities
Qualifications and Skills
- A Certified Business Accountant (CBA) of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
- A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University, preferably in Accountancy Finance or Business Management
- High-Level experience in handling RAMIS system
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar capacity
- Proven experience in the ERP environment and familiarity with the Peachtree accounting system would be a definite advantage
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask under pressure
- High competency in MS Office suite
- Outgoing personality below 35 years of age
