Job Profile

Business Partner - People & Culture Operations will take ownership of all HR matters across World Vision Lanka (WVL) while assisting the Director - People & Culture in implementation and operationalizing the People & Culture (P&C) Strategy across the organization while effectively partnering with the leadership, the management and the business units.

To perform well in this role, the incumbent should have experience as a HR Manager, or other senior roles in the HR team, knowledge and hands on experience in handling all areas of HR, including; general HR operations, legal, policies and procedures, compensations & benefits, HR systems & technology, etc.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to line management on a broad range of people and culture policies, procedures and practices
  • Build strong relationship with managers, employees in all departments /programmes/ projects
  • Ensure effective processes in place to successfully resolve employee conflicts
  • Ensure a strong end-to-end service delivery model exists within People & Culture creating a smooth process for clients
  • Conduct compensation and benefit surveys and analyze results and ensure to meet total reward standards.
  • Ensure Workforce and budget is adhered to by all line and hiring managers and any transitions are managed efficiently
  • Resolve employee conflicts successfully
  • Ensure HRIS is updated and all employee data are accurate
  • Ensure all Audit compliances are met

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • A minimum of five years' experience at managerial level in Human Resources. Experience and knowledge of HR practices, including general HR operations, legal, policies and procedures, compensations & benefits, HR systems & technology, etc.
  • Masters / MSc in Human resources, Business Administration.
  • Ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues
  • Emotional maturity and ability to deal with matters of strict confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative with little guidance
  • Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field, Travel: 25% Domestic/international travel is required.
  • Excellent English and Local language skills
