Business Partner - Talent Acquisition (Location - Colombo)

Job Profile

To provide effective, transparent and legally bound World Vision Lanka (WVL) national staff acquisition services to WVL hiring managers and client groups, focusing on delivering quality ministry to the communities and children WVL serves. This will be accomplished through sourcing, screening, assessment and placement of executives, professionals and technical personnel in a timely and cost effective manner focusing on strong customer service orientation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners, workforce planning and hiring managers to understand current and future skills needed in WVL
  • Develop and maintain multiple channels and networks to build a deep, diverse, and reliable sourcing pool for WVL staffing needs
  • Develop, design and implement recruiting plan for assigned positions (e.g. advertisements, networking tools); write advertisements and job postings using WVL guidelines/templates
  • Shortlist candidates for assigned positions from sourcing pools and present candidate shortlist to hiring managers
  • Manage logistics and coordinate interviews for short-listed candidates with hiring managers
  • Draw up and issue offer letter for selected candidate and ensure employment contracts to be issued upon offer acceptance
  • Produce and submit periodic up-dates to inform management about recruitment, challenges and the way forward
  • Maintain overall records of each staffing types
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and trends in recruitment, WVL organizational policies, benefits when relocation and repatriation

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Minimum  4 -5 years' experience in recruitment and/or Human Resources Management is required
  • Experience in managing teams and providing leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent field of study
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, interpersonal and cross cultural skills
  • Strong administrative skills and has an eye for details
  • Excellent inter-personnel relationship skills
  • Knowledge of the Sri Lankan labor and employment laws
  • Experience in recruitment especially of professional and technical positions
  • Ability to be a team player, collaborator, work independently and able to effectively network (over any medium of communication e.g. Internet, phone, face-to-face) across all levels of the organization internally and externally
  • Must have strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with great fluency in both English and Sinhala and/or Tamil
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as and when needed
