Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze data and market insights
  • Search for insights into consumer needs
  • Manage and track sales and gross profit budget
  • Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors
  • Demand forecast for portfolio to ensure product availability
  • Strategize positioning of a product category in order to maximize its visibility
  • Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories
  • Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities


  • Previous working experience as a category executive is an added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes
  • Experience in analyzing data and making forecasts
  • Analytical and critical thinker
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • BBM, BSc, B Com, BA Management, marketing, finance or similar relevant field
