Job Profile

Communication and Reporting Officer- Resilient, Inclusive Sustainable Economic development, for Sri Lanka (RISE Lanka!) is responsible for implementing the communication and visibility plan of project and preparing timely reports as per the donor's requirements and internal communication and decision- making, She/he is responsible for capturing and collecting the impact stories during the project period and developing the communication materials with the collaboration of project team and the partner.

Major Responsibilities

  • Capturing photos, videos and stories while implementing the project ensuring that they meet the donor and organizations standards.
  • Coordinating with media personals at National and local levels and getting sufficient publicity for the project achievements.
  • Prepare timely reports as per agreed timeline.
  • Support to finalize the evidence base documentation as per the standard reporting.
  • Developing impact stories with high quality to communicate the project success to the donors, stakeholders and other relevant parties.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a Communications or Media position or similar responsibilities in the development sector, with evidence showing examples of previous work (articles, social media content, photos, videos etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Development Studies or related field.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal, collaboration & team building skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral communications in Sinhala & English (Ability to write and speak Tamil will be an added advantage).
