EYFS CLASS TEACHER

We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage class teacher at The British School in Colombo. The successful candidate will motivate children and use resources imaginatively to help them learn in a play-based environment. As an EYFS teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure learning environment for all children to enable them to develop their social and communication skills. The successful candidate will also be responsible for planning and assessment linked to the EYES curriculum. As a class teacher at The British School in Colombo, 

Your duties will include:

• Curriculum design and development based on the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2021.
• Developing and promoting a safe, nurturing learning environment for all children, taking into consideration a wide range of learning needs including SEND and Gifted and Talented.
• Liaising with parents to ensure that strong parental engagement contributes to the wellbeing and progress of every learner.
• Monitoring, assessment and reporting of children's progress.
• Planning for the next steps in learning.
• Planning for and directing teaching assistants.
