As the UAV Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing our sales and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of UAV technologies to our esteemed clients. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, maintaining customer relationships, and upholding our reputation as a leader in the UAV industry
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed department targets and overall company objectives.
- Lead the sales & Technical team in identifying new business opportunities, establishing sales goals, and developing sales forecasts and to ensure successful execution of UAV projects, adhering to quality standards and deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Oversee the technical team responsible for UAV system integration, maintenance, and support.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. - Collaborate with the research and development team to drive innovation, explore new UAV technologies, and enhance existing solutions
- Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, certifications related to UAV technologies and relevant laws, regulations, and ethical practices in the UAV industry to ensure compliance.
- Monitor department performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and effective communication within the department.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance the company's reputation and identify business opportunities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, business administration, or similar)
- A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the UAV industry
- Strong technical background and understanding of UAV technologies and systems.
- Previous experience in managing a team, including sales and technical professionals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
