QA Manager

THE ROLE

You will lead and coordinate the QA activities of test engineers in three different teams- Content, Web and Applications/Mobile. Each team has its own workflow, priorities and challenges. The position reports to the Head of the QA in the Company. You will have to bring a proven record of Web and Mobile experience along with people management skills, be a nice person, proactive and able to provide hands-on help to any QA in any given team.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc in Computer Science or related discipline
• A minimum of 7 years in QA, 5 of which in a team leading position
• Strong debugging capabilities on any given platform - Web and Mobile
• Perfect communication skills
• Fast and self learner - a must
• Proven experience with AWS services (AWS RDS, EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda etc.)
• Experience in automation tests development-advantage
• Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins- advantage
• Experience working for multidisciplinary companies - advantage
• Experience with performance and analytics tracking and release tools (New Relic, Firebase, Heap, GA and others)
• Being able to provide personal professional insights, not to be afraid to challenge superiors' decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the entire QA domain in Matific Sri Lanka
• Serving as an effective bridge between the management, local and abroad teams
• Providing hands on help to team
• Participating in the new team members recruitment and onboarding process
• Providing professional guidance to old and new team members
• Communicating with the Automation teams (Web and Mobile) to insure up to date coverage of the ongoing features
