Job Responsibilities
- Own key, high-impact domains spanning 5 countries and multiple stakeholders, including day-to-day oversight of the buyer fraud domain.
- Provide general support and guidance to the buyer fraud team.
- Investigate suspicious trends, orders, selling and buying behavior, conduct root cause analysis on suspected cases.
- Extract, deep-dive into, & manipulate large sets of data organized, in a well-structured data warehouse designed for exploration and functionality using various tools available in Alibaba’s ecosystem.
- Liaise with business units to recommend and drive implementation of fraud-mitigating strategies and policies which directly and significantly reduce our risk profile.
- Build, maintain and produce reports and dashboards that give key insights to colleagues from all departments at Daraz, including senior management, and prepare business cases to support strategic business decisions.
- Work with the fraud manager and different teams across the company to innovate and implement tools to drive business performance improvement and cost efficiencies.
Candidate Requirements
- More than 3 years of related work experience is desirable, especially in analytical fields like data science, consulting, finance, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree from a top university in a quantitative subject - a background in engineering, business intelligence, data science, mathematics, economics, statistics or computer science preferred.
- Strong numerical and reasoning skills are essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in SQL are essential.
- Go-getter attitude, willing to immerse themselves in the business, with a proactive approach to getting things done - results-oriented, detail-oriented and self-driven.
- Superior organizational skills to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines and the flexibility to adapt to changing scope.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to successfully negotiate with different stakeholders across various businesses.
- Prior experience working with automation tools such as Python will be a plus.
