Routing Engineer (Telecom/SMS)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring routing and quality performance of A2P SMS.
• Data Analysis and monitoring of large sets of data associated with A2P SMS routing, pricing information and various quality KPI's and metrics.
• Analyzing A2P SMS revenues and cost control.
• Proactively react to an automated system and data alerts and perform corrective actions.
• Setting and managing pricing related tasks, generating customer rate cards etc.
• Cost optimization of A2P SMS route inventory.
• Assisting with business initiatives and projects associated with new agreements with potential clients or suppliers.
• Working closely with Firewall and Sales teams to provide the necessary business-related data.
• Working with support teams/vendors and customers to resolve issues related to routing performance.
• Updating Global changes in routing features and restrictions regularly.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in similar role is preferable
• A degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or Telecommunication is essential
• A2P SMS or Any other Telecom Experience will be an advantage
• Understanding of database and various database systems (e.g. SQL, Elastic Stack and/ or others),
• Experience in Power BI is essential.
• Have experience using Data Management Tools (e.g. Pentaho, Tableau, Kibana and/or others),
• Well versed in Microsoft Office applications (Excel)
• Have proven experience in data analysis and business reporting
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Strong in time management, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills, ability to handle multiple
• concurrent tasks
• Multi-tasking and with high prioritization abilities
• Have a self-starter mentality and able to work in fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Procurement experience will be an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken skills in English is essential
• A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills with a dedicated work culture.
