Senior Accountant

We are specialized in manufacturing and exporting coconut products, spices, commodities trading & importing animal feed and cement. We are looking for a right candidate for the below vacancy for our modern factory at Pannala.

Candidate Profile:

• A Candidate, age below 35 years living in Close proximity to Kurunegala, Pannala, Negombo area.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting / finance from a recognized university or any other professional qualification such as CASL, CIMA or ACCA
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a manufacturing industry
• Computer literacy in advanced MS excels and word
• Understanding of Accounting principles, taxation, product costing, investment appraisal and statutory requirements
• Hands on working experience in ERP system especially SAP - B1
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Job Requirements:

• Preparation and supervision of financial statements, variance reports and other management reports
• Timely closure of monthly accounts and presentation to the Management
• Timely submission of statutory payment/reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Check and authorize bank reconciliation and control accounts
• Tax planning and compliance with tax regulations
• Attending the stock count along with Finance and operations team.
• Check and approve day to day payments
• Ensure proper maintenance of records documents
