Senior Engineer Data Center Technologies

We are looking for a Creative, Knowledgeable and well experienced professional who can join our winning team to deliver quality work to our customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The role requires the Engineer to do pre-sales and post-sales activities of the division and assist in building the Data Center Division.
• He/she will be expected to act as an advocate for the product portfolio carried by Sumathi IT in fulfilling the interests of the customer and assist sales teams in positioning appropriate solutions.
• The selected candidates will take ownership of issues and challenges on behalf of our clients to address and resolve them by leveraging the Data Center and the extended Sumathi IT team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:

While the minimum qualifications are given below, depending on the seniority and experience, the selected applicant will be offered an appropriate designation, hierarchical placement and remuneration.

• Possess a Degree in Telecommunication, Computer, IT, Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a reputed University.
• 3+ years of Hands-on experience in three or more of the following Data Centre technologies

1. Servers (x86 - Dell/HP/Lenovo, IBM POWER)
2. Virtualization technologies (VMWare/POWERVM/Nutanix)
3. Storage technologies (IBM/Huawei/Netapp/HDS)
4. Backup and Archival Tools (Veritas, Commvault, Veeam)
5. Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud Technologies
6. Should have at least mid-level certifications of leading Data Center solution vendors.
7. Should be able to manage RHEL or Unix system administration functions.
8. Having experience at a Principal vendor or another Systems Integrator firm will be an added advantage.
