Senior Manager Legal

GRI produces high-grade specialty tires that are built sustainably using pure natural rubber in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2002, the company produces material handling solid tires, radial agriculture tires, and construction tires. GRI has offices and operations in nine countries including the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, the Baltics and Australia, with a business presence in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Since 2018, GRI has been advancing in the rapid expansion of its specialty tire production plants and tire compound mixing facilities in Sri Lanka as well as its operations in key countries. We are on the lookout for an exceptionally self-motivated driven individual, with high levels of energy, a deep passion for Talent Development, and above all, the perseverance to win, as Senior Manager Legal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all types of commercial agreements
• Liaising and coordinating with stakeholders within the Group locally and internationally.
• Coordinating with external legal counsel and law firms both locally and internationally
• Participating in work related to due diligence, legal research, and advisory matters.
• Liaising with government institutions and regulatory authorities.
• Provide legal counsel and support on matters related to both local and international labour legislation and labour practices.
• Analysing and identifying the legal risks and implications of the business's transactions, keeping the management of the
• business units informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business
• Drafting, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures in relation to risk and compliance
• Maintain a secure and confidential database of all relevant contract and governance documentation.

Essential Qualifications / Exposure:

• Attorney at Law with a Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience with minimum 4-5 years overall credible work experience in a managerial capacity in the corporate sector
• Bachelor of Law/Master's degree in Law/Post Graduate Qualification would be an added advantage.
• Should possess a Notarial Licence and be capable of handling and advising the management on all types of conveyancing matters.
• Reasonable knowledge and experience in Company Secretarial and intellectual property matters
• Should be a team player, strong interpersonal social skills ,energetic with strong managerial and analytical skills.
• Should possess a sharp business acumen, have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take on challenges with a positive attitude.
• Must have the ability to demonstrate flexibility, take responsibility and work independently with minimum supervision.
• Should be Proficient in both writing and verbal communication in English and Sinhala with computer literacy.
