Senior PHP Developer

We are a UK based Software Development company pioneering in the field of Narrow Band Video Streaming technologies and engaging in many Research and Development Projects. We would like to meet people who are dynamic, motivated, innovative, creative and fulfill requirements for the following position

• Minimum 3 years of experience in PHP as a bank-end or full stack developer
• Good knowledge of least one PHP web framework (Codelgnitor, Laravel etc.) with Laravel being our preference.
• A solid understanding of WordPress with custom theme and/or plugin development
• Good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap etc.)
• Strong knowledge of management and interrogation of MySQL databases.
• Experience in using GIT for collaborative version control.
• Solid knowledge of how to build and design dynamic PHP applications.
• A deep understand of system design and software engineering best practices
• Curios to learn new languages and work with new tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience in XML and XSLT would be an advantage.
• Experience of managing LINUX servers from the command line.
• Advanced understanding of designing and delivering scalable Laravel applications.
• Experience of creating bespoke Wordpress themes from scratch.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, modular and reusable code.
• Work in a collaborative team environment.
• Able to manage and lead projects.
• Attend to project discussions with international clients and clearly identify the scope of the project and its tasks.
• Troubleshoot and test code/databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Complete the tasks on time.
• Share the knowledge with the team and help others to fix issues.
• Follow industry best practices.
