Overview of the Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing the storage of goods, and ensuring efficient logistics operations within the organization
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including invoices, orders, and returns.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all items in the warehouse.
- Implement efficient warehouse layout and storage procedures for easy retrieval of goods.
- Plan, coordinate and execute the timely delivery of goods.
- Evaluate and select appropriate carriers and negotiate transportation rates.
- Coordinate with transporters, and other stakeholders to optimize the supply chain process.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to optimize storage space and reduce carrying costs.
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory and logistics activities.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Certification or diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse Management or equivalent qualification for a recognised institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Exposure in a trading or construction-based industry will be an added advantage.
